Former owner-managers Evan and Joan took great pride in maintaining the property and creating an atmosphere that encouraged guests to return year after year. Their commitment to high standards and personal service helped establish Drovers Rest as a trusted accommodation choice in Moranbah.
Today, the motel continues to operate as a family-owned business that puts visitors first — a standard that remains central to everything we do. Drovers Rest Motel has become a trusted choice for contractor accommodation in Moranbah, known for consistency, reliability and friendly service.
About the Manager
Hi, I’m Carmel.
Coming from a large family, I genuinely enjoy getting to know our regular guests. Since taking over the management of Drovers Rest Motel in 2019, I’ve focused on ensuring every guest feels looked after and enjoys a comfortable, hassle-free stay.
I moved to Moranbah from Nebo (yes — quite the move!), and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Tuppence, my dog, has been right alongside me since day one. She’s always enthusiastic at check-in and loves meeting new people — many of our regulars now look forward to seeing her.
The motel is set among established gardens, which give the property a relaxed and easy-going feel. Adam carefully maintains the grounds, and our housekeeping team works hard behind the scenes to ensure rooms are well prepared for each arrival.
